What this does and does not hide
Honest boundaries matter more than slogans. Here is exactly where the protection stops.
What this surface hides
- Your identity: a key-only account has no email, phone, name or password to leak or subpoena.
- Your location: over Tor or I2P we never see your IP, and neither does anyone watching your line.
- Your behaviour: no scripts, no analytics, no third-party requests, no fingerprintable surface.
- Your session: cookies are scoped to the door you came through and never shared with the main site.
What it cannot hide
- What you type is processed by our servers to generate an answer. We do not sell, share or train on it, but it is not end-to-end encrypted against us.
- A key-only account is anonymous to us. A blockchain payment is not anonymous on-chain; use a fresh wallet if that matters.
- Tor and I2P hide your network location from us and from anyone watching your line. Your account, API key and payments still identify the account itself.
- Password logins are relayed from our server to the identity provider; it sees our server, not you. Google sign-in is not offered here.
- Attachments and generated images are stored on our servers under your account until you delete the conversation. Voice is not available on this surface.

Is this end-to-end encrypted?
Your connection is encrypted end to end (TLS, onion or garlic routing). The model has to read your prompt to answer it, so the content is decrypted on our servers for the duration of the request.
What if I lose my key?
The account is gone, by design. There is no email, no recovery flow and no support ticket that can restore it. Store the key in a password manager and consider keeping a downloaded copy offline.
Can I use my existing Shannon account here?
Yes. Log in with your API key, or with email and password if your account has one. Your conversations, plan and quota are the same.
How do I pay?
Bitcoin, Litecoin or Dogecoin. Monthly plans and token packs are both available; token packs get a crypto bonus. No card details are collected on this surface.
Is the API the same?
Identical. Point your client at api-encrypted.shannon-ai.com, the API onion, or the API eepsite, and use your API key exactly as on api.shannon-ai.com.
